Amit said we will figure something out. I will call kumar sir and ask him for alternative. I said ok.
The company’s representative said my salary will be disbursed tomorrow. She took my biometric, photograph, etc and said I will get an official Email ID, ID card etc. in a week’s time. They said they will also give me laptop from choice of three laptops next week.
I said ok.
They accepted all my documents and verified my previous work experience by calling my manager Aswin in front of me. My letter was finalized and said my salary will be disbursed tomorrow.
We thanked them and left the office. Later, We went for apartment hunting.
We spent whole day searching for right apartments. I really didn’t have choice. We saw 10 flats in different floors and three different buildings. Finally, we chose two flats.
It took us until afternoon to choose them. Amit arranged a meeting with an Auditor and also lawyer at auditor’s office in the evening. They said they will check the sale deed. I gave them the draft copy. Amit explained about whole situation. I think the auditor and lawyer knows about girls like me before. They said everything is fine. Its standard format.
We finished things and I came home at 10:30PM. Rahul was deeply in sleep. I got refreshed and slept.
Next morning, Rahul disappeared. He was not at home. He messaged me that “Darling, I have a wedding to cover. I have to shoot video/take pics etc. So, I am going out of station for next three days. I will be stay in touch with you over the phone. Keys are near the door. Take care of the home”
I read the message and went to exercise. I got ready and locked the house. Amit came for me and we had breakfast outside.
I spent next 2 days, executing the sale deed, signing the bank documents for the loan. Meanwhile I got my salary in my account. My first salary ever.
Whole 2 days was filled with tedious process. They asked me to sign on so many documents. I had to pay some registration fee for the executing the sale deed. Bank was also involved in the entire process as I am taking it through loan. All my documents got ready.
Next day, First EMI for both apartments got cut from my bank account officially. I got deduction message on my phone.
Amit called me over the phone.
I asked “What Amit?”
He said “Neha. Doctor called me. Your Test reports are ready”
I said “ok….Amit”
He said “My driver will pick you up….get ready”
I asked “is it important Amit? I don’t want to go to hospital again. I hate hospitals”
He said “Neha dear……..There seems to be a problem in your reports”
My heart started beating fast and asked him “What problem Amit?”
He said “She is not telling me. She wants to meet you in person”
I asked “Anything serious Amit?”
He replied “Yes”
I asked “What is it Amit?”
He said “She said she will not tell that to anyone except you. She asked me who I am to you. I said I am your friend. She said she will only share the information with you”
I said “Amit…..don’t play games…..please tell me what’s wrong with me”
He replied “I don’t know Neha”
