Every weekend Swami Nityananda Maharaj tried to visit atleast twenty devotees of ‘Parvati Maa’ in the area where ‘Maa Saradashram’ was situated. All of them greeted him with garlands and donations, and many broke into tears when he’d consoled them to reduce their sadness. They felt their unhappiness waning and their wounds mending…. such was the power of his blessing.

It was late in one of the evenings that the great priest came to his favourite disciple Supriya’s house. A great throng of people followed him and stood outside the ‘Choudhury House’s porch. When Supriya’s daughter Soma saw the great monk…. entering their living-room, she felt immense joy.

She rushed towards him and she fell prostrate before him. The holy priest blessed her by touching her head with his right hand…. and bade her stand as he hugged her tightly…. feeling the softness of her body and kissed her forehead affectionately.

She felt a warm sensation creeping in her chest from the innocent affection shown by the holy representer of the Goddess Parvati Maa….. she felt herself guilty being horny in the holy priest’s embrace. She could remember how her tiny hands used to fit comfortably around his fingers when she was younger. She smiled, feeling happy that he had come to bless her nine months old baby-boy Raja.

After that she washed his sacred feet with ‘Gangajal’ ( Holy water of the river Ganges) and thoroughly drying them with her ‘Anchal’ and kissing them with great devotion. Finally she took his hand and led him through the path….. towards the worship-room of Chowdhury house….. where her mother was waiting anxiously….. finishing the arrangements of Puja.

Sitting in front of Parvati Maa’s statue, he started the Puja….. and praying to the great Goddess for the well-being of the baby. After completion of the Puja…. she walked confidently with a tray… full of oblation in her hands… towards the hall to distribute it among the guests. A small function was arranged there on account of her Son Raja’s ‘Annaprashan ( A traditional Hindu ceremony marking a baby’s first intake of solid food’.
