She caressed his cheek and said “Deepak I said no because after a few days you will be gone and this whole thing will be over just like a dream”. He quickly said “Oh, I was about to tell you, from now on I will be back every month to track the progress of the administration’s welfare schemes. So don’t worry we will be together every month”.
She gave a 1000watt smile hearing this and went wild kissing him out of sheer joy. She jubilantly said “darling then my answer is 100% yes only without doubt. Kamal is formally and will always remain my husband but from this moment I accept you like my real second husband”.
Deepak quickly said “whoa sweetheart that won’t be needed. As long as we are together and continue to enjoy like this, that is all I need”. She smiled and left to her bedroom to get properly dressed in a regular saree. They both settled down in the verandah having the tea and snacks when the doorbell rang again.
This time it was Kamal and he again failed to notice the new bangles she was wearing or the sounds her anklets were making when she walked. This happened all the time with Kamal so she was not surprised. She left them both to discuss and went about her housework.
After snacks Kamal left along with Deepak for some work telling they would be back by dinner time. She locked the doors and went to her room selecting what to wear tonight when Asif called. He said “I am sorry I am late madam darling, your new clothes are ready now. When can I come to help you with the trials”?
