“We probably should, but there’s only that thing over there.” She gestured towards the tub, which still held most of the water from the previous night, although the bubbles had completely dissipated. “I say save it for later. Let’s get some food!”
“Any ideas about where or how?”
“There was a diner not too far down the road. I saw it last night. We can walk down there. I’m sure they’ll have something.
They found their clothes and walked about a quarter mile to the diner. On the way, Daniel started to bring up what had happened the previous night, but Amanda stopped him. “Remember. What happens at Sindy’s stays at Sindy’s.” There was a fire in her eye when she said it too. It was clear she meant business. Daniel remembered how he’d made the case. He was more than willing to completely abide by the terms.
Even though it was still morning, the day was already heating up. It was looking like another scorcher, and both of them were sweating again as they reached the diner, where the fully-functioning AC was a welcome relief. They got breakfast, washed down with plenty of ice water. The normalcy of their meal was reassuring. Yes there was Sindy’s, but outside of Sindy’s, life could still go on as it had before.
Amanda called Bob, the tow truck driver / garage owner who had their car. “He says he has to get a part,” she told Daniel. “Might be a couple of days.”
The delay meant Daniel would be late for freshman orientation. He called the school to explain this situation, and to be sure they would hold his place, and not reassign his roommates or anything like that. Normally a change of plans like that would have bothered him. But Daniel could say this time it didn’t bother him in the least. An extra couple of days at Sindy’s with Amanda seemed like a dream come true. It seemed like paradise.
Daniel looked around. There was nothing in this place. There was Sindy’s down the road, the diner, and a gas station. That was it. That and some scrubby desert vegetation. It wasn’t a pretty place. There were some hills around, but it was dusty, and desolate, and he didn’t care. If they had nothing at all to do but stay naked and sweating in that hot motel room that was just fine by him.
They stocked up for later with a couple of sandwiches to go from the diner. They picked up a few water bottles from the gas station mini mart, and together, they made their way back to Sindy’s. Daniel felt his dick getting hard again as the room got closer and closer.
Amanda was in a great mood. The whole thing was like a great, cheerful adventure. Within fairly easy walking distance, even if it was screamingly hot, they had everything they needed. It was lucky. She told Daniel it was lucky, and he agreed. They were lucky the tow truck driver had a shop. Luckily the problem with the car didn’t seem too serious. He could fix it. He just needed a part. They had food. They had shelter. And if the shelter was a little unconventional…well that was turning out pretty lucky too. She’d just been laid for the first time in years, and it was the first truly great, satisfying sex she’d had since David died.
