That night after dinner Shivam slept—jet lag. Amrita came to my room, locked the door. She was crying. I took her in my arms.
“Saajan ji… now what?”
I licked her tears—“I’m not going back to Delhi. I’ll tell Shivam I want to become a business partner. I’ll stay here.”
She looked into my eyes—“Really?”
I kissed her. Then we undressed. That night we made love slowly, lovingly. No hurry. Not like the last time—but like every time.
Next day I spoke to Shivam. “Bro, seeing your business, I feel like joining. Make me a partner. I’ll quit my Delhi job. I’ll shift here.”
Shivam was thrilled. “Wow bro! What could be better? Amrita will be happy too. You two get along so well.”
And that’s how I settled in Jaipur. I started traveling between Delhi and Jaipur two-three times a week. I didn’t tell Sandhya everything—just said I became Shivam’s business partner, so I have to spend more time in Jaipur. Whether she believed it or not, my heart sank thinking about it, but for Amrita I was ready to do anything.
Amrita gave birth—a baby boy. Shivam became a father to the world, celebrations at home. But the nights… the nights were still ours. When Shivam slept or went on business trips, Amrita came to my room. Quietly, lovingly. Sometimes even during the day, taking risks.
Sandhya started getting suspicious. Fewer calls, coming home late. But I managed her. Said—“It’s business, darling. Give me some time. Everything will be fine.”
Life was now split between two cities—straight-line wife in Delhi, twisted passionate love in Jaipur. And I was swinging between the two.
But how long this balance would last… only time would tell.
