Eileen: In fact, I think I’ll bring myself off right here next to the pool.

Eileen: Thinking about your fingers inside me. Imagining your mouth…

Scott: Fuck, baby. I’m going to have to take some alone time in the bathroom…

Eileen: After you make me come with your mouth, I’m gonna drop to my knees….

Scott: And…?

Eileen: Mmmm. Sorry. I was distracted….

Eileen: Gotta go wash my hands.

Scott: God damnit!

Eileen: LOL

Being out in the sun really woke me up and I felt like I was operating on a full night’s sleep until the middle of the afternoon when the all-nighter finally caught up with me and I fell asleep in the lounger. I didn’t wake up until I heard my phone ringing with dad’s ringtone. Initially I was confused and then my brain caught up and I grabbed my phone. I answered while running into the house. I caught sight of the kitchen clock and started cursing myself.

“Hello?”

“I didn’t see your texts. I fell asleep.”

“Crap! I’m going to be late for class!”

“Sorry, daddy!”

“Gotta go!”

It was six o’clock and my class started at seven. Dad had my car. I was going to be late. Shit. Shit. Shit. I ran into my room and found a pair of denim bib-shorts and pulled them on over my bikini. Shit. Shit. Shit. I found socks and my canvas sneakers and pulled them on, threw my backpack on my shoulders, and headed to my bike. I strapped on my helmet, mounted my bike, and was on the road. Shit. Shit. Shit.

I was going to be hot, sweaty, and LATE for my class.

“Way to make a good first impression,” I muttered to myself as I pulled up at the bike rack outside the classroom building. I locked up my bike and ran into the building, glad I’d taken the time to check out the location of my class the day before.

I glanced at my watch and saw I was about 10 minutes late just as I opened the door to the classroom as quietly as I could. I kept my head down and scanned the back of the room for a seat. Of course all the tables in the back were already occupied.

“There’s a spot in the front row,” a familiar voice called out.

I looked up and met Scott’s eyes. I blanched at the familiar smirk on his face and slunk to the front of the room and fell into the only empty chair in the room. Scott continued talking about the content and expectations for the class while gathering some papers from the desk at the front of the room and depositing them on the table in front of me. I admired how he looked in his khaki pants and white button-down shirt.

“Can you pass the attendance sheet up,” Scott asked the class.

Soon the attendance sheet was on the table in front of me, Scott’s finger pointing to the last row indicating where I should put my name, email address, and cell number. He didn’t stop talking, but he did look down and give me a wink, which just caused me to blush. Gah! WTF!

I got out my pencil and notebook and started writing, trying to catch up. Scott walked over and picked up the attendance sheet and read over it before dropping it at the desk at the front of the room.

“Let’s get started listening to some music,” Scott said, his fingers playing over some speakers he’d already connected to his phone. In moments the sounds of Renaissance liturgical music filled the room. I closed my eyes to listen more carefully, a small smile on my face. When the piece was over, Scott got out a lute he’d apparently stowed behind the desk and sat it on his lap to tune it.

“The acoustics in here are not great, but it’ll have to do for now,” Scott said as he tuned. “I’ve asked to use one of the conservatory rooms, but we haven’t been approved yet.”

Scott started playing and I was transported. He sang in Italian to his own accompaniment, one song after another, pausing to talk about the pieces and sip water. The class time just flew by.

“Okay class, that’s it for tonight. We’ll meet here on Thursday unless I can get a better room. If so, I’ll let you know via email.”

We all started gathering our things to go, although I was a bit slow about it since I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to stay and talk to Scott. Or whether he wanted to talk to me. It didn’t take long for me to find out.
